Firefighting and rescue drill on Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway

On the afternoon of June 27, the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Operation Center coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Quang Ngai Provincial Police and Team 5, Department 6, Traffic Police Department to organize a firefighting and rescue drill.

Assuming a serious situation, on the Da Nang – Quang Ngai expressway, a heavy cargo truck was traveling in the South – North direction, reaching Km129, due to not keeping a safe distance, it suddenly crashed into the back of a gasoline tanker truck traveling in the same direction ahead. The collision caused a fierce fire to break out.

The fire quickly engulfed both vehicles, while both the driver and the passenger were seriously injured and trapped in the cabin.

Upon discovering the incident and the raging fire, staff at the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Operation Center immediately raised the alarm, quickly contacted the authorities and notified the rescue unit.

In the unexpected situation, the staff of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Operation Center flexibly approached the scene of the fire to rescue and save people. Fire extinguishers were used to control the fire, thereby helping to limit the fire from spreading, creating conditions for timely rescue and relief work.

At this time, the driver who was trapped in the cabin was taken out by the staff of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Operation Center, who used a stretcher to carry him away from the scene for first aid on the spot before handing him over to the medical team.

Upon receiving information about a large fire that created smoke that obscured visibility and posed a risk to traffic safety, leaders of Team 5, Department 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security quickly dispatched forces to the scene to regulate traffic and prevent a double disaster.

Just a few minutes after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force, Quang Ngai Provincial Police, immediately dispatched an emergency task force and specialized tanker to the scene. As soon as they arrived, officers and soldiers quickly started the high-capacity pump, deployed the water pipe system and began to control the fire.
