Dien Bien sends documentary to attend Film Festival in Algeria

Responding to the invitation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria, Dien Bien province has selected and sent 02 typical documentaries to attend the Algeria Film Festival in 2025. This is a practical activity to promote the image of the land, people and history of Dien Bien to international friends.

Previously, on August 6, 2025, the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria sent Official Dispatch No. 248 to the Provincial People's Committee regarding the invitation to attend the Film Festival in Algeria. After studying the content of the dispatch and based on the actual situation in the locality, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province sent an official document to the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria regarding participation in this event.

Accordingly, to respond to the event and promote the image of Dien Bien to international friends, Dien Bien province has selected 02 documentary films to submit to the Festival including:

1. Documentary film “Dien Bien Phu Campaign 56 Days and Nights” : Recreating the entire historical Dien Bien Phu victory using modern 3D technology, combining motion graphics and 3D character scanning. The film summarizes the causes, developments, and results of the campaign, while highlighting special logistics such as transporting food by bicycle, pulling artillery by hand - unprecedented feats; honoring the spirit of solidarity, the will to win of the nation, the ingenious military art and the heroic fighting spirit of the Vietnam People's Army.

2. Documentary film “Dien Bien - Land and People” : Introducing Dien Bien land with beautiful, majestic nature; heroic history; unique culture; friendly, hospitable people...

The two works sent by Dien Bien province to participate in this Film Festival are documentaries with profound content value, modern presentation, licensed by the Department of Cinematography for film classification and with narration in Vietnamese, English and French, suitable for screening within the framework of international events.

Sending the film to the Algeria Film Festival is a practical action demonstrating the proactive and positive spirit of Dien Bien province in promoting foreign cultural exchange and cooperation. This is also an opportunity for the image of Dien Bien - a land of history, identity and friendliness - to continue to be spread more widely in the international arena.
