The National Achievements Exhibition opened at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). With the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", the exhibition is nationwide, gathering more than 230 booths of ministries, branches, localities and large enterprises. In particular, Petrovietnam 's booth stands out in the exhibition space, attracting a large number of visitors.
Modern exhibition space - recreating Vietnam's energy journey
Petrovietnam's exhibition booth, themed "Petrovietnam - Preserving the legacy, creating national energy", is designed in a modern style, with open space and advanced projection technology. The areas are scientifically arranged, vividly recreating the more than 50-year journey of construction and development of the oil and gas industry - from the first days of exploiting crude oil in 1986 to today's international-scale energy industry projects.
The models of solid offshore drilling rigs, petrochemical refineries, fertilizer factories, modern technical services... from member units such as Vietsovpetro, BSR, PVFCCo, PVCFC, PVOIL, PTSC , PVEP... have created a comprehensive picture of the strength and stature of Petrovietnam. It is not only an exhibit, but also an affirmation that Petrovietnam has been, is and will continue to play a pivotal role in the Vietnamese economy.
A special feature of the Petrovietnam exhibition space is the experience area. Here, visitors can not only see petroleum, petrochemical, and fertilizer products, but also have their questions answered by experts and be guided on how to use the products effectively. That experience helps many first-time visitors better understand the diversity and richness of the petroleum and energy industry - an industry that used to be considered "hidden" in statistics, but is now closely present through products closely related to life.
Visitors to the exhibition
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (Bac Ninh) shared: "I was very moved when I came to this exhibition. Before, I only thought that oil and gas were simply exploited and then used immediately. But today I learned that the industry has many types of oil and many products like that. That proves that Vietnam is rich in resources and good at innovation. I am even more proud to see that the country has a large-scale energy and oil and gas industry."
Ms. Thuy's opinion reflects a reality: many people only know about oil and gas through general concepts, rarely fully imagining the vast value chain that Petrovietnam creates. The exhibition combined with direct experience has turned dry technical concepts into vivid evidence, helping the public to better understand, connect with and be proud of the industry.
Among the visitors, the story of Mr. Tran Quang Dau, an officer of the School of Business and Administration - Hanoi National University, brought a special perspective. He used to be a navy soldier, and had the opportunity to work in Truong Sa. Today, standing in the middle of Petrovietnam's exhibition booth, that memory came flooding back. "In the past, I used to set foot on the rig, witnessing the oil and gas workers working hard in the storm. Now, seeing the industry mature with great achievements, right on the occasion of the country celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, I am extremely moved. I wish you guys in the industry to continue to contribute, bringing more energy to the country".
Mr. Tran Quang Dau, an officer at the School of Business and Management - Hanoi National University, was a former navy soldier and had the opportunity to work at the rig in Truong Sa.
In Mr. Dau, there is a blend of personal memories and collective achievements, of the soldier’s experience and the pride of a citizen. That opinion is also clear evidence that Petrovietnam is not only an economic enterprise, but also closely linked to the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, with the blood, sweat and dedication of many generations of Vietnamese people.
As for Ms. Hoang Thanh Mai, a lecturer at the University of Mining and Geology, the emotion comes from her love for the profession and her belief in passing it on to the next generation. "Petrovietnam is the pride of the nation. The industry's contribution to the country's economy is enormous. My children and grandchildren are also working in the industry, so I definitely have to come here to visit, to take pictures, to tell my family that we have an energy corporation like this. I am very proud."
Ms. Mai's sharing not only shows her personal pride, but also shows that Petrovietnam has become a "professional legacy" that has been continued by generations in many families. It is the fuel of faith, love for the industry, and love for the country.
Visitors to petroleum and petrochemical products
Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu (Bac Ninh) commented after visiting: "Petrovietnam's exhibition space is very reasonable, beautiful and strongly inspiring. It sends the message that Vietnam is developing every day, especially the oil and gas industry, Petrovietnam has made great progress compared to before".
That is also the greatest value that the Petrovietnam exhibition booth brings, not only a place to introduce products and achievements, but also a place to sow confidence and inspiration in people's hearts. In the context of the country entering a new phase with many challenges of energy transition, green development and international integration, that spirit needs to be aroused and spread.
Petrovietnam's economic and energy footprint
Behind the models and products on display are impressive numbers. Since 1986, Petrovietnam has exploited more than 460 million tons of oil, nearly 200 billion m³ of gas, providing 9-11 billion m³ of gas for production each year, ensuring 35% of the country's electricity output, 70% of fertilizer output and 70-80% of the country's civil gas. On average, each year, the group contributes about 9% of GDP and 9-10% of the total state budget revenue.
These figures not only demonstrate Petrovietnam’s pivotal role in ensuring energy security, but also affirm that the oil and gas industry is one of the country’s most important “financial pillars”. With total consolidated assets of 43 billion USD and equity of about 23 billion USD, Petrovietnam is also among the largest enterprises in the region.
In the large exhibition space with the participation of hundreds of units across the country, Petrovietnam's booth not only stood out for its scale and modernity but also for the sincere emotions it evoked. Each opinion, each sharing of the people was a piece that added to the common picture of pride - that the country has come a long way, and in that journey, Petrovietnam always played a pioneering and steadfast role.
The 2025 Country Achievements Exhibition is not only a place to admire achievements, but also an opportunity for today's generation to pay tribute to the previous generation, to affirm together the responsibility of building the future. And the Petrovietnam exhibition booth, with the message "Keeping the legacy alive - Creating national energy", is a strong reminder that energy does not only come from oil, gas or electricity, but also from the belief, will and pride of every Vietnamese person.
Petrovietnam's booth at the National Achievements Exhibition at the National Exhibition Center is ready to welcome visitors from August 28 to September 5, 2025. Petrovietnam's exhibition booth is designed in a modern, open and future-oriented style - a highlight in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Group's establishment and development.
The highly interactive exhibition space, applying modern technology, clearly demonstrates Petrovietnam's strategic vision with 3 development pillars: Industry, Sustainable Energy and High-quality Technical Services. With a multi-layered design concept, the exhibition space reflects both the depth of experience and the desire for innovation, affirming Petrovietnam's commitment to accompanying and playing the role of a pillar of the country's economy, towards a sustainable and prosperous Vietnam.
