At the Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School exam site, at around 4:10 p.m., the first male student walked out of the exam hall with a happy face, and volunteers cheered and congratulated the student for completing the Math exam.
“The test was quite difficult, I tried my best to answer all the questions I could. I didn’t have enough time to solve some difficult math questions,” the student said.

Sharing the same opinion, Tue Linh, a student at Viet Duc High School, said that this year's math exam was difficult, and only teachers could solve all the problems correctly within 90 minutes. Tue Linh said that not many students could complete this exam.
Many candidates said that they only did less than 80% of the Math exam.
After leaving the exam hall, Hai Minh and Ngoc Ha from Tran Phu High School discussed the questions and solutions. Hai Minh said that he could only do about 70% and had difficulty with part 3 of the Math test. Ngoc Ha did a little better at 75%, but could not do some difficult questions in part 2 (True/False multiple choice questions).

Some students are quite worried and share with their parents when they only do average work. Many students set Math as a "score-making" subject, but the general consensus is that if students have a solid grasp of the basics, they can get a good score, but getting a perfect score is not easy.
At many exam sites, although their test scores did not meet their expectations, most candidates left the exam room with a strong mentality, preparing themselves for the final exam day.

This is the first year that 12th graders take the exam according to the new GeneralEducation program, the structure and format of the exam have changed compared to previous years. For Math, the exam is divided into three parts.
- Part one includes 12 multiple choice questions, with 4 options to choose 1 correct answer.
- The second part consists of 4 True-False multiple choice questions. Each question has 4 options, for each option the candidate chooses True or False.
- Part three consists of 6 questions in short answer multiple choice format. Candidates fill in the boxes corresponding to their answers.
This year's Math exam is assessed to closely follow the 12th grade program and is highly differentiated. The questions have an increasing level of difficulty, especially in the third part. Such an exam will ensure the goal of graduation and clearly differentiate good and excellent students to serve the university and college entrance exams.

On June 27, for the 2006 General Education Program, students will continue with the Natural Science or Social Science combined exam in the morning, and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon. For the new General Education Program (CTGDPT 2018), students will take two optional exams in the morning.
Localities across the country continue to tighten exam room discipline, while ensuring the best conditions for candidates to complete the 2025 High School Graduation Exam safely, seriously and with quality.
