Investing in 1,000 new containers, VIMC Lines increases operating capacity

In order to proactively enhance operational capacity and improve the quality of logistics services, VIMC Container Transport Joint Stock Company (VIMC LINES) has just signed a contract to supply 1,000 new containers with Hoa Phat Shipping Joint Stock Company (VTB Hoa Phat). This is an important step in the strategy to enhance operational capacity, better meeting the increasing demand for domestic and international freight transport.

On May 22, 2025, in Hanoi, VIMC Container Transport Joint Stock Company (VIMC LINES) held a signing ceremony for a contract to supply containers with Hoa Phat Shipping Joint Stock Company (VTB Hoa Phat). This important event marks a new step forward in the effort to realize the strategy of increasing exploitation capacity and optimizing the quality of container transport services of VIMC LINES.

According to the signed content, VIMC LINES will invest in 1,000 new containers, including 500 20-foot DC containers and 500 40-foot HC containers. All of these containers will be manufactured and supplied by VTB Hoa Phat. This is a unit with a lot of experience, capacity and reputation in the field of container manufacturing in the Vietnamese market.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, a representative of VIMC LINES emphasized: “The simultaneous investment of 1,000 new containers demonstrates our strong commitment to improving our operational capacity and increasing the efficiency of the supply chain. This is also a necessary step to ensure stable and reliable service provision for domestic and international customers. At the same time, the cooperation with VTB Hoa Phat also demonstrates our strategy of choosing a long-term partner, developing together for common interests.”

According to the plan, the first batch of containers will be delivered from June 2025, promptly put into operation during the peak period to serve domestic and international customers.
