Promoting the strength of the political system, uniting for development goals
To achieve that result, in recent times, the Party Committee and the government of Trieu Phong district have always been proactive, timely and seriously implementing the resolutions and directives of the Central and Provincial Party Committees. The Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee regularly organize meetings to discuss and decide on important issues, ensuring compliance with working regulations and authority.
At the same time, direct the concretization of the commitments and key tasks into specific programs and action plans, clearly identifying resources and implementation roadmaps. In particular, the role, responsibility and exemplary behavior of leaders of Party committees, authorities and agencies are promoted, creating a strong driving force for the entire political system to operate effectively.
On the other hand, organize the signing of the commitment of the Party Committee and Party Secretaries of communes and towns, the collective leadership and heads of departments, offices, and agencies at the district level with the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and at the same time direct the Party Committees of communes and towns to sign the commitment of responsibility with the secretaries of subordinate Party cells, heads of departments, branches, and organizations at the same level. Local Party Committees organize the dissemination of the content of the commitment to cadres, Party members, and people, creating consensus in awareness and implementation.
In line with its functions and tasks, the District People's Council has organized its meetings well according to the law, improved the quality of its meetings, and strengthened its supervision of the settlement of voters' petitions, and regularly supervised socio-economic affairs and national defense and security. The District People's Committee has strengthened its management effectiveness and efficiency, proactively developed and promptly implemented socio-economic development plans, and ensured national defense and security in each year.
One of the tasks that the District People's Committee has prioritized is to promote administrative reform, improve the quality of service for people and businesses, and create a favorable environment to attract investment in the area. Activities such as receiving people, resolving complaints and denunciations are seriously implemented. At the same time, state management of religion, legal aid for people and ensuring social security are also well implemented, demonstrating the government's deep concern for all aspects of people's lives.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations in the district actively promote propaganda and mobilize union members and people to participate in the patriotic emulation movement and campaign, and fulfill the political tasks of the locality and unit. The close coordination between levels, sectors and organizations has created a combined strength, promoting the overall development of Trieu Phong district.
Through the evaluation and classification results, every year, party organizations fulfill their tasks well, many party organizations fulfill their tasks excellently. In 2024, 52/52 grassroots party organizations fulfilled their tasks well, of which 11 grassroots party organizations fulfilled their tasks excellently. Regarding the leadership and management team, 31.81% fulfilled their tasks excellently, 65.97% fulfilled their tasks well, and 2.22% fulfilled their tasks. These figures partly reflect the effective operation of local party and government agencies, which is a solid premise for Trieu Phong district to continue to develop.
Exploit potential and advantages to break through
Trieu Phong identifies agriculture as a key economic sector, aiming towards clean, modern agriculture, adapting to climate change. In 2024, the production value of the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector will reach more than 1,418 billion VND, the average rice yield will exceed 63 quintals/ha. Smart production models are widely deployed such as large fields (1,900 ha), natural rice cultivation, production according to VietGAP and organic standards.
The application of biotechnology, mechanization, and drones in production has contributed to the formation of concentrated raw material areas, linked in a sustainable value chain. Many agricultural models in Trieu Phong have been granted quality certificates such as organic, VietGAP, and FSC, affirming the right direction of the locality in improving agricultural products and protecting the environment. Trieu Phong district also promotes livestock farming in the direction of industrialization associated with enterprises, increasing the total number of regular livestock to tens of thousands of heads, and poultry to more than 1 million heads.
Along with that, the district encourages economic sectors, organizations and individuals to invest in scientific research and technological innovation to improve productivity and product quality, meeting market demands. The application of biotechnology in agricultural production is of particular interest to Trieu Phong district, such as using biological products, microbial organic fertilizers, producing forestry seedlings using tissue culture technology, and applying biological bedding in livestock and poultry farming with high results.
Thanks to the application of scientific and technological advances in agricultural production, Trieu Phong district has had the raw material area for rice production of Trieu Phong Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, the raw material area for orange growing in Trieu Thuong commune, the rice growing area of Dai Hao Cooperative, Trieu Dai commune, which have been granted organic certification; the raw material area for large timber plantation in Trieu Ai and Trieu Thuong communes has been granted FSC and VFSC certification; many other growing and breeding areas in communes in the district have also been granted VietGap certification.
Not only focusing on agriculture, Trieu Phong also strongly develops industry - handicrafts with more than 1,200 production establishments. In the first quarter of 2025, the value of industrial - handicraft production is estimated at 127.8 billion VND, an increase of 10.6% over the same period. Ai Tu and Dong Ai Tu industrial clusters are becoming attractive destinations for investors. The occupancy rate of nearly 100% with dozens of stable enterprises has created jobs for thousands of local workers, with an average income of about 7 million VND/person/month.
Along with economic development, Trieu Phong pays special attention to the fields of culture, education, health and social security. Up to now, 40/42 schools in the district have met national standards, 100% of primary school students study two sessions per day, the high school graduation rate is over 98%. The health system from the district to the grassroots level has been invested in and upgraded, ensuring that people receive full and timely health care. Poverty reduction, job creation and temporary housing elimination programs have been effectively implemented.
From a traditional agricultural region, Trieu Phong is affirming its position as a dynamically developing locality, effectively promoting all potentials and strengths to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
