Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee aims for modern media

Attending the congress were comrades Pham Van Duc, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Hao, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Vu Ngoc Tu, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper.

The flag-raising ceremony was solemnly held at the Congress.

In the 2020-2025 term, the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee has promoted its leadership role, excellently completed assigned political tasks, upheld principles, innovated leadership methods, and continuously improved the quality of press products.

100% of the term resolution targets were achieved and exceeded. Especially the targets on political and ideological work, Party development, building cultural units, developing multi-platform journalism and social and charitable activities.

Comrade Vu Ngoc Tu, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Printed newspapers were published regularly 5 times/week with nearly 6.4 million copies; photo newspapers serving ethnic minorities reached more than 4.5 million copies during the entire term.

E-newspapers have made an impressive breakthrough when increasing traffic from 120,000 visits/month in 2020 to an average of 1.2-2.2 million visits/month in 2025, with some months reaching 3-6 million visits.

The application of converged CMS from March 2023 is considered a technological turning point, helping Dak Nong Newspaper quickly approach the modern newsroom model.

Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper presented the draft review report of the Party Committee of Dak Nong Newspaper, term 2020-2025.

Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee focuses on Party building work, with over 95% completing tasks well; admitting 5 new Party members; maintaining Party Committee activities, comprehensive inspection and supervision; no Party members violating internal politics or ethics.

Activities of the union, trade union and Journalists Association have all been recognized for completing their tasks well, many members have won provincial and central press awards.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hai, Party Committee member, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper presented the draft Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of Dak Nong Newspaper, term 2020-2025.

The congress also frankly pointed out some shortcomings such as the low quality of Party cell activities; the quality of press products is not really uniform; some reporters have not kept up with the requirements of technological innovation and media convergence...

Entering the new term 2025-2030 as part of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television after the merger, the Party Committee determined the direction to build a clean and strong organization; ensure the preservation of the local Party press identity, improve political - professional - technological quality; firmly maintain the role of guiding public opinion and being the voice of the Party Committee, government and people.

In the new term, the Party Committee strives to admit at least 10 new Party members, and 100% of Party cells apply information technology in Party management and work.

The 5th Congress of the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee is an important milestone, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, innovation, determination to overcome difficulties, readiness to enter a new development stage, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress of Party Agencies and the Resolution of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Comrade Pham Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech directing the Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Pham Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the efforts, strivings and achievements of the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee in the past term.

Comrade Pham Van Duc suggested that the Dak Nong Newspaper Party Committee continue to uphold the sense of responsibility and practical wisdom to contribute to the draft documents of the higher-level congresses and the 14th National Congress of the Party. The work of organizing cadres in the coming time must have new thinking and vision to contribute to building a new province that is increasingly developing in general and press products in particular.
