In addition to Tokyo, performances will also be held in Gunma Prefecture, home to many Vietnamese people, as well as Iwate, Fukushima and Miyagi Prefectures in the Tohoku region. In Tohoku, where Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations have been further strengthened through Vietnam’s assistance during the Great East Japan Earthquake, the performances will also be an opportunity for friends from both countries to reunite. The final performance is scheduled to be a votive performance at the Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple in Nara, where trade with Vietnam has been taking place for thousands of years.

Mr. Dong Quang Vinh, Music Director and Conductor of the Festival Symphony Orchestra, said: There have been quite detailed preparations for this special tour. In addition to performing symphonic and classical works, the orchestra also spends time performing traditional folk instruments. The combination of the symphony orchestra with traditional Vietnamese instruments, the combination of Western classical music with Vietnamese folk music is an interesting highlight of the program. The artists all hope that the tour will be successful and create a heart-to-heart bridge between the people of Vietnam and Japan.
