Artists meet in the show "Timeline"

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Hanoi Radio and Television Station produced the program Time Stream - Songs that go with the years No. 2 with the theme of Country of Love on the evening of August 24.

A series of outstanding works about homeland and country by authors such as: Do Nhuan, Trinh Cong Son, Luu Cau, Nguyen Thi Nhung, Pham Minh Tuan, Tran Long An, Tran Le Giang, Tran Manh Hung,... will be performed in the program.

" The Timeline - Songs that go with the years with the theme of Love of Country will be works expressing love for the homeland, a sacred and noble feeling for every patriotic heart.

Whether in peacetime or wartime, that love still retains its value and remains unchanged, growing day by day in the subconscious, thoughts and soul, and then turning into a great source of motivation to help each of us strive and contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland," Colonel and musician Ho Trong Tuan shared.

Director Ngo Thanh added: "The highlight of the program is the exchange with the author of the theme song - Country of Love - female musician Tran Le Giang, currently living in Edinburgh (Scotland).

Also at the program, for the first time, a special version of the song Country of Love was performed with a "dialogue" between the late Meritorious Artist Thuy Lan and her daughter, artist Dinh Lan Huong - Head of the Vocal Music Department of Hanoi College of Arts. Based on the vocals extracted from the first recording of the Voice of Vietnam Radio 44 years ago through the duet of two singers, two mothers and daughters, two generations of artists...

In addition, the serenade Chieu que huong by musician Nguyen Thi Nhung for violin will be performed by pianist Bui Dang Khanh, cellist Bui Ha Mien and violinist Tran Quang Duy.

Timeline - Songs of the Years is a program that has left an impression on audiences. Following the success of the previous season, Timeline - Songs of the Years No. 2-2024 returns with the creativity of director Ngo Thanh and his crew.
