The tourism promotion program was attended by Mr. Vu Ho - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Korea; Mr. BAEK Seung Pil - Vice President of the Korea Association of Travel Agents - KATA and more than 70 guests representing airlines, travel agencies, MICE, golf, wedding organizers, influencers (KOLs) and Korean press agencies.
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City cited the impressive growth of Korean visitors in the first half of 2024: The total number of Korean visitors staying in Da Nang reached 822,765, accounting for more than 41% of the total number of international visitors to Da Nang. This number has reached the total number of Korean visitors to Da Nang in 2023 (935 thousand) and reached nearly 50% of the total number of Korean visitors in the whole year of 2019 - the peak period of Da Nang tourism.
In early 2024, Da Nang announced many new products and organized a series of events and festivals such as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, the Asian Film Festival, the Vietnam - Korea Festival, etc. The city continues to focus on target market segments including MICE tourism, golf tourism, wedding tourism and culinary tourism .
The highlight of the Da Nang tourism introduction program in Korea is the announcement of the Enjoy Da Nang Again campaign, held from July 15 to the end of 2024. In response to the love of Korean tourists for the destination of Da Nang, Enjoy Da Nang Again offers many souvenirs and preferential packages for Korean tourists returning to Da Nang for the second time since 2020 to bring tourists more complete and interesting experiences.
