Cuu An maximizes potential and advantages for development

On the morning of August 18, the Party Committee of Cuu An commune (Gia Lai province) held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the Congress were comrades: Siu Huong - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial agencies; leaders of agencies and units; former leaders of different periods and 120 official delegates, representing party members in the commune Party Committee.

Cuu An commune was established on the basis of the arrangement of the original 4 administrative units: Tu An, Song An, Xuan An and Cuu An communes (old). After the merger, Cuu An commune has 15 hamlets, 4 ethnic minority villages with 19,874 people. Cuu An commune Party Committee has 3 grassroots Party Committees, 13 grassroots Party cells and 19 affiliated Party cells with 588 Party members.

During the past term, the commune's economic structure shifted in the right direction; the poverty rate decreased sharply to 1.91%. The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program achieved initial results with 7 products recognized as achieving 3 stars. The entire commune achieved 19/19 new rural criteria; some villages and hamlets aimed for advanced new rural standards. The education, health, culture and social sectors continued to receive attention, 100% of schools met national standards; 96.83% of people participated in health insurance, and social security was ensured.

The work of building the Party and political system achieved many comprehensive results; the number of new Party members admitted during the term reached 100% of the target.

With the motto "Solidarity - Discipline - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of Cuu An commune continues to promote the revolutionary tradition, the sense of self-reliance, self-improvement, and creativity to successfully implement the targets set out in the Congress resolution. The Congress passed 5 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs, including: Continuing to improve the quality of human resources of the commune political system with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige associated with building a digital government to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; Investing in developing synchronous infrastructure, prioritizing traffic infrastructure and technology to serve the digital transformation process to create a foundation for rapid, sustainable development, adapting to climate change, towards building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards; Exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality, especially the semi-submerged area of An Khe - Ka Nak Hydropower Reservoir, Roc Tung relic site, Indian mulberry garden, Hon Co dam and irrigation works combined with community tourism development. Promoting economic development associated with the development of cooperative economy - cooperatives, at the same time focusing on the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Mai Viet Trung acknowledged and commended the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Cuu An commune have achieved. This is an important premise and a great motivation for the commune Party Committee to continue to develop more sustainably in the coming years as well as contribute significantly to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

To successfully implement the Congress resolution goals, comrade Mai Viet Trung suggested that the Party Committee of Cuu An commune continue to unite, strive, seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, and build an increasingly developed commune. It is necessary to create a real breakthrough in economic development on the basis of maximizing the potential and advantages of the locality.

In particular, it is necessary to turn unique tourism potentials such as the An Khe - Ka Nak Hydropower Reservoir, the Roc Tung archaeological site, and the Indian strawberry garden into specific and attractive tourism products, creating sustainable livelihoods for the people. Effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction policies, especially paying attention to ethnic minority areas.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the appointment of personnel for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Chairman, and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Cuu An commune for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the Party Executive Committee of the commune consists of 21 comrades; Comrade Dinh Van Cuong was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Cuu An commune.
