The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that Dr. Ellena Tuner will accompany the Vietnamese women's team from June 13-17.

On June 14, this expert had a talk and discussion with the players about the topics of limiting the effects of time difference, nutrition and women's health issues.

Players are provided with knowledge about adjusting sleep and food to suit each activity, competition stage, training and rest.

Coach Mai Duc Chung's students also openly exchanged to understand and apply appropriately for each individual.

Expert Ellena Tuner worked with the team's doctor to come up with the best preparation plan to help the players quickly adapt to changing conditions when competing at the 2023 Women's World Cup finals.

On behalf of the entire team, head coach Mai Duc Chung sent his thanks to Dr. Ellena Tuner: "This is the first time the Vietnamese women's team has participated in the women's world football finals, so there are still many new things.

The support and companionship of FIFA's fitness and nutrition experts will be very helpful for the players during this preparation period."

Yesterday afternoon (June 14), the Vietnamese women's team continued their training session to prepare for the friendly match against Short Mainz Club on June 15 at Am Sommerdamm Stadium. Dr. Ellena Tuner was also present to support and guide the players in their recovery after the training session.

Previously, in the first friendly match in Germany on June 10, the Vietnamese women's team won 2-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt FC.

After the match with Short Mainz, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will go to Poland to compete with the country's U23 women's team on June 19.

The Vietnamese women's team will then return to Germany to play a friendly match with the host country's women's team on June 24 before going to New Zealand to compete in the 2023 Women's World Cup finals.
