The opening ceremony of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will take place on the banks of the Perfume River.

NDO - According to information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will be held at 8:10 p.m. on March 25 on the banks of the Perfume River, in the area of Quoc Hoc Monument, with performances both underwater and on land.

National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 are typical cultural - economic - social and tourism events of national and international scale associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and other major holidays and anniversaries of the whole country; responding to and welcoming Hue to become a city directly under the Central Government.

This is also an event to introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values, resources and unique tourism products of Vietnam in general and Hue City in particular; contributing to unlocking resources and exploiting more effectively the potential, strengths and distinct advantages of the city to create a breakthrough development in tourism, attract more domestic and international tourists, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.

In addition, the event also contributes to strongly promoting tourism development linkages between localities nationwide in order to promote strengths and potentials to develop tourism in the key economic region of the central region as well as inter-regionally, contributing to enhancing the image, position and brand of Vietnamese tourism in general and Hue City in particular in the following years...

As planned, the opening program of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will be held at 8:10 p.m. on March 25 on the bank of the Perfume River, in the area of the National Academy Stele. The stage format is semi-realistic on the water and on the shore. The performance format is semi-realistic, combined with water screens, visual mapping, floor leds, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, sound and light arrangements. The entire program will last from 90 to 100 minutes and will be broadcast live on VTV1.

The opening program script was carefully constructed, trying to express the soul of Hue culture.

The National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 will be held with continuous activities throughout the year, starting with the Hue Festival 2025 Announcement Program and the re-enactment of the Lunar New Year's Eve Ceremony on January 1, 2025 and ending with the Countdown Art Program - Welcoming the New Year 2026 on December 31, 2025.

With the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities", the activities and events focus on 4 main program groups: Spring festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital" (January - March); Summer festival "Shining Imperial City" (April - June); Autumn festival "Hue in Autumn" (July - September); Winter festival "Winter of Hue" (October - December).
