Within the framework of the series of commemorative activities, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace opened the exhibition: "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh - Milestones of national history"; Opening the thematic exhibition at the Supplementary Gallery: "Journey for peace "; Opening the exhibition "Continuing the story of peace"
“Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh - Milestones of national history” is the central exhibition in the series of commemorative activities. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Presidential Palace Relic Site and the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board to review the typical milestones in the glorious revolutionary journey of the nation under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, while honoring the ideology, morality and style of the Hero of Vietnamese national liberation and outstanding cultural figure.
With more than 200 images, documents and valuable artifacts, the exhibition is organized into 05 main content sections: Ho Chi Minh - The man who sought the way to save the country (1911-1941), August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1941-1945), Dien Bien Phu Victory (1945-1954), Liberation of the South, National Reunification (1954-1975), Innovation and International Integration (1975 - present). The exhibition contributes to vividly recreating the journey of building, defending and developing the country under the light of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, fostering patriotism, national pride, affirming faith and arousing the desire to contribute in the era of national development.
The thematic exhibition at the Additional Gallery: "Journey for Peace" is the result of coordination between the Presidential Palace Relic Site, General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum and the support of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, Ministry of National Defense; Standing Office of the Ministry of Public Security on United Nations Peacekeeping.
The exhibition aims to honor the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh in the struggle for national independence, protecting true peace for the Vietnamese people, and at the same time recognize Vietnam's proactive and positive role in preserving world peace today.
The exhibition consists of 2 parts. Part 1 is presented with the content "President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh with the journey to preserve peace for the Vietnamese people". The exhibition content vividly recreates the milestones in the journey of fighting for independence, freedom, and true peace of the Vietnamese people, in which President Ho Chi Minh was the initiator and leader, and General Nguyen Chi Thanh was the successor, implementing with sharp political and military strategies. The photos, documents, quotes, and valuable artifacts contribute to clarifying the guiding ideology throughout: to have peace, we must gain and maintain national independence, while always combining national strength with the strength of the times, and gaining international support.
Part 2 is about "Vietnam's participation in world peacekeeping". The exhibition introduces Vietnam's achievements and outstanding marks on the path of international integration, especially emphasizing its increasingly proactive and positive role in United Nations peacekeeping activities. Following the example of President Ho Chi Minh and previous generations of leaders, Vietnam today continues to contribute to building peace, consolidating stability and promoting global sustainable development through sending military and police forces to participate in United Nations peacekeeping missions.
With more than 80 documents, artifacts and relics, the theme "Journey for Peace" becomes a bridge between tradition and the present, between the steadfast will to protect peace of previous generations and the active and responsible participation of Vietnam in the mission of preserving world peace in the 21st century.
The exhibition “Continuing the story of peace” is the result of cooperation between the Presidential Palace Relic Site, General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum and the support of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, Ministry of National Defense; and the Ministry of Public Security’s Permanent Office on United Nations Peacekeeping.
The exhibition conveys the message of the aspiration for peace, national independence and the continuation of the noble human values of peace and friendship that President Ho Chi Minh initiated and laid the foundation for. Through the images and documents on display, 80 exhibition panels depict the inheritance and continuation of the ideology of peace and friendship from President Ho Chi Minh in the process of gaining independence and protecting peace for the Vietnamese people to the proactive and active role of Vietnam in the current international peacekeeping effort.
The exhibition consists of two parts. Part 1 is called “Friendship and peace for people around the world!” Conveying President Ho Chi Minh’s “messages for peace” through letters, speeches, declarations, telegrams sent to organizations, heads of state, people of the world and Vietnam with the wish for “Friendship and peace among people around the world”.
Part 2 is titled “Together we continue to write the story of peace!” Through authentic images, the exhibition introduces Vietnamese military and police soldiers – the “blue beret soldiers” with the sacred mission of keeping peace at the United Nations missions of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security’s Permanent Office on United Nations Peacekeeping. They are not only brave and courageous international officers, ready to face danger, contributing to protecting peaceful life in conflict areas, but also “cultural ambassadors” spreading the noble qualities of soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Armed Forces and conveying President Ho Chi Minh’s message of peace and friendship to the world.
The image of Vietnamese peacekeepers has left a deep impression in the hearts of international friends about a country that has fought steadfastly and won the struggle for national independence and is now actively contributing to the building of a world of peace, stability and sustainable development.
