The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just conveyed the direction of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Land Price Appraisal Council, on the need to "finalize" the land price list by tomorrow afternoon, October 16.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the City Land Price Appraisal Council was assigned to urgently review the submission of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, complete the report on the results of the appraisal of the adjusted land price list, and ensure completion before 2:00 p.m. on October 15.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, based on the appraisal results of the Appraisal Council, must complete the dossier and draft to submit to the Steering Committee for development and adjustment of the land price list, and at the same time seek opinions on the adjusted land price list before submitting to the City People's Committee before 2:00 p.m. on October 16.

In addition, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is required to coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to disseminate the adjusted land price list, helping people understand and correctly evaluate legal policies and guidelines.

The City People's Committee Office will also coordinate with relevant departments and branches to promptly complete necessary work to amend and supplement the land price list, ensuring progress according to regulations.

Previously, at the end of September, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee had a document reporting to the City People's Council regarding the amendment and supplementation of Decision 02/2020 of the City People's Committee regulating the land price list in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, through studying the provisions of the 2024 Land Law and reviewing the actual situation of land prices in Ho Chi Minh City, the results show that there are three problems with the land price list according to Decision 02/2020. Specifically, the problem related to the land price framework and the backwardness of land prices in the land price list issued under Decision 02/2020; the problem of lack of approved resettlement land prices; the problem related to the land price adjustment coefficient.

From there, the City People's Committee believes that the need to adjust the land price list in Ho Chi Minh City is necessary. Also according to this report, on September 30, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment completed the Submission to submit to the City Land Price List Appraisal Council.

Before October 10, the City Land Price Appraisal Council will hold an appraisal meeting. After that, the City People's Committee will issue a Decision to amend and supplement Decision No. 02/2020 before October 15.
