At the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with the Vietnamese delegation, respectfully offered a basket of flowers before the statue of Uncle Ho, remembering his great contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause. This is a bust of President Ho Chi Minh, presented to the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola by General Secretary To Lam, when he was still the Minister of Public Security . The project was inaugurated in July 2023 and is where Vietnamese people in Angola and domestic delegations come to remember the great President Ho Chi Minh whenever they set foot in the neighboring country.

The first President of independent Angola, Mr. Antonio Agostinho Neto, always admired and respected the Vietnamese people and President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero, outstanding leader of the Vietnamese people. Stemming from this special sentiment, President Neto decided to name an important avenue right in the center of the capital Luanda after President Ho Chi Minh.
This is one of the most beautiful streets in the capital of Angola, about 3.4 km long, connecting with October Revolution Street towards Luanda airport. Many important agencies of Angola such as the People's Liberation Movement of Angola (MPLA), some ministries, branches, national television stations... have their headquarters on the street named after Uncle Ho. The end of the avenue is where you can see the whole view of Luanda Bay - one of the most beautiful seas in Africa. This avenue has become a symbol of brotherly solidarity, friendship and mutual assistance between the two peoples of Angola and Vietnam that future generations of the two countries need to take care of and preserve.

Inaugurated in September 2017, the monument is made up of 16 pieces, symbolizing the unity of soldiers in a common cause. Each of the 16 metal blocks that make up this massive structure weighs 8.8 tons. The main monument is 23 meters high, with a ramp in the ceremonial area (50 meters long) and is decorated with a lightning bolt with an eternal flame rising through a gold star, symbolizing the highest award for fallen soldiers. On one wall of the memorial is engraved the Angolan National Anthem, while on another wall is the inscription “To those who died in combat, while on duty for the greatest dream of having a homeland, being part of a free and independent people”.
