The two ambassadors highly appreciated the unique values of the My Son temple complex, especially the landscape, history, and architectural art of the Hindu architectural works here. In particular, Mr. Marco Della Seta - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy paid great attention to the archaeological ruins, including the L tower group, which Italian experts cooperated with Vietnam to excavate in 2018 - 2019. However, due to some objective factors, the excavation and restoration of the L tower group has not yet been completed.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet - Deputy Director in charge of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board said that at the working session, Mr. Marco Della Seta pledged that the Italian Government will create all conditions and procedures to support the excavation and restoration project of the L tower group to continue in the coming time.

The excavation project of tower group L is the next support program of the Italian Government after the conservation project of tower group G carried out by experts from Italy was completed in 2013.
Tower L group is located on a high mound consisting of 2 towers L1 and L2, relatively isolated from the remaining groups in the relic site. In 2019, tower L1 was excavated archaeologically under the cooperation and training agreement program of the project "Vocational training center for relic restoration and cultural relic conservation in Quang Nam " signed between Milan Polytechnic University (Italy) and Quang Nam Vocational College, trained by Italian experts. According to the training program, students had a practical course participating in surveying, excavating tower L1, practicing making relic maps, geometric surveys, etc. However, due to some factors and the epidemic, the project has only now restarted.
