'The Magic Pen' - Tet play for children at stage 5B

Adapted from a familiar folk tale, The Magic Pen was the first time the couple Huynh Nhu - Huynh Ngan tried their hand at the roles of director and screenwriter, while maintaining the familiar "quality" of children's drama of the small stage 5B and containing many profound lessons, conveyed in a very simple and funny way.

Riding on the success of the magic performance in the previous play Animal Rescue Station , Huynh Nhu continues to fascinate young audiences with her "transformation" technique in The Magic Pen.

The story goes that once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Ma Luong who was given a magic pen by a fairy. He could draw flowers, leaves, grass, and a big buffalo to entertain everyone. When the rich man found out, he tried to take the pen. He tried every way to get the pen, but what the greedy rich man drew made everyone... scared and he learned a lesson for life.

The magic pen has made the most of the elements of previous children's plays such as music , choreography, increased interaction with young audiences..., especially the magic performance ability of artist Huynh Nhu. The play is filled with many layers of meaning, not only suitable for children but also worth pondering for those who were once children...

Flowers and food plants of the delta region are vividly personified through the magic of the magic pen.

The interactive part of the play attracted many young audiences to the stage.

Southern style play

The story takes place in a peaceful countryside, but the class relationship element is reduced and highlighted in the nature of honoring traditional values, rich in humanity. Compared to previous children's plays, The Magic Pen has more Southern elements. The melodies of folk songs, folk songs, reformed opera, and folk music are varied to be fun and close to children.
