In the first time the Southeast Asian and Asian Dancesport Championship (Dancesport Festival 2025) is held in Vietnam, within the framework of the Festival, the couple Phan Hien and Thu Huong - the reigning champions of the 31st SEA Games and currently in the top 49 of the WDSF World Rankings - are expected to help Vietnamese Dancesport achieve high results.
Under the enthusiastic cheers of the audience at the Military Zone 7 Gymnasium (HCMC) on July 10, the couple Phan Hien and Thu Huong performed excellently and won 3 gold medals at the Dancesport Festival 2025 in the following categories: 5 Latin all-around dances, Samba solo, and Paso solo.
The tournament taking place in Vietnam this time is the largest event in the history of Southeast Asia. Up to now, on the opening day, the tournament has recorded the participation of more than 37 countries and territories, with more than 4,000 registrations, thousands of athletes and more than 100 international and national referees.
Dancesport Festival 2025 is co-organized by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation and Khanh Thi - KTA King The Art. The tournament takes place from July 9 to 13, marking a major turning point for Vietnamese Dancesport on the world map, affirming the organizational capacity, integration spirit and the image of a dynamic, creative Vietnam, ready to reach international standards.
Dancesport Festival 2025 is not only a place for champions to compete but also a "culmination festival of passion and aspiration".
In the context of dancesport increasingly developing in Vietnam, successfully hosting this event helps to enhance the national image, opening up opportunities to bring this sport into the system of annual professional international tournaments in the future.
