Long Thanh airport's fuel supply system includes tanks and underground pipes to the apron, allowing direct refueling of aircraft, modern and safe.

Package 4.9, construction of an aircraft fuel supply system at Long Thanh Airport with a total investment of more than VND2.8 trillion, is being accelerated.

Package 4.9 started construction in October 2024, and was scheduled to be completed in June 2026 according to the contract. However, following the Prime Minister 's directive to shorten the schedule, the investor adjusted the plan, basically completing the construction part before December 19, 2025 to ensure synchronization with the entire project.

The bid package for the construction of an aircraft fuel station at Long Thanh Airport has a capacity of 5,200 m³/day, including 6 fuel tanks, meeting the needs of synchronous exploitation.

Six floating aircraft fuel tanks were built with a capacity of 6,000 m³ each, ensuring the ability to store and supply fuel on a large scale.

According to VTC News Electronic Newspaper reporters, at the construction site, the joint venture contractor mobilized nearly 700 personnel and more than 80 machines and equipment to implement the construction package.

According to the adjusted schedule, the construction of 6 aircraft fuel tanks at Long Thanh Airport will be completed before December 5, 2025.

The fuel pipeline system to the tanks at Long Thanh Airport has been basically completed, the pipe ends have been sealed and preserved to prevent dust and dirt from entering.

The fuel tank of more than 2.8 trillion is being accelerated.

Meanwhile, the underground fuel pipeline system for aprons 1, 2, 3 and 4, located in front of the passenger terminal, is being installed. According to the plan, this work will be completed before October 20, 2025.
