Ca Mau spends more than 560 billion VND to develop vocational education by 2030

The People's Council of Ca Mau province has just approved the plan for vocationaleducation development in the province until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

According to the plan, by 2030, the province will provide vocational training and development for an average of 28,000 people annually (of which about 12,000 people will receive vocational training at the elementary level or higher); retraining and regular training for about 35% of the working-age workforce.

Strive to attract about 40-45% of junior high and high school graduates to the vocational education system; female students make up over 30% of the total new enrollment target.

A series of goals that this province is aiming for include: The rate of trained workers reaching 65% (of which 30% have degrees and certificates); the rate of workers with information technology skills reaching 90%; 100% of colleges meeting quality accreditation standards; the rate of non-public vocational training institutions reaching 50% compared to the total number of public vocational training institutions; having a college meeting high quality standards (including key industries and occupations and having the ability to compete with schools in the region and the whole country).

Ca Mau also strives for 100% of teachers to meet standards; about 90% of managers to be trained and fostered to improve modern management and administration skills.

By 2045, the province aims to have vocational education meet the demand for highly skilled human resources, become a developed locality in vocational education in the region, catch up with the advanced level of ASEAN countries and have outstanding competitiveness in a number of training fields, industries and occupations.

"The budget for implementing vocational education development until 2030 is more than 560 billion VND," according to Ca Mau province's plan.

According to the People's Council of Ca Mau province, to achieve the above goals, the province focuses on reviewing and arranging the network of vocational training facilities in accordance with the socio -economic development plan; focusing on developing a team of teachers, artisans, experts, and vocational trainers;...

The province also mobilizes and improves investment efficiency for vocational education such as: Allocating increased budget for investment in facilities and training equipment for vocational education institutions; focusing on a number of key and key occupations.

Innovate the content of training and fostering programs towards improving capacity in accordance with local economic and social development conditions and meeting market needs; enhance training in information technology skills and soft skills for youth, students and employees in enterprises.

Perfecting the cooperation mechanism between the State, vocational training institutions and enterprises on the basis of harmonizing interests and social responsibilities; closely linking vocational training institutions, enterprises and employment service centers to create conditions for students to have jobs or start successful businesses after graduation.
