The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent a document to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to give comments on the plan for the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday and some other holidays in 2025. - For the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed on the plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees to have 9 days off, from January 25 to February 2, 2025, that is, from December 26, Giap Thin year to January 5, At Ty year. - For the National Day holiday in 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed on the plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees to have 4 days off, from August 30 to September 2, 2025.
- On the holidays of April 30 and May 1, 2025 , the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed on the plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees to have 5 days off from April 30 to May 4, 2025 (swapping the working day from Friday, May 2 to Saturday, April 26, 2025). The Ministry of Home Affairs also agreed on the draft document developed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to submit to the Prime Minister for decision.
In Vietnam, employees are entitled to a total of 11 official paid holidays. Specifically, they include New Year's Day (1 day), Lunar New Year (5 days), Hung King's Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month) (1 day), Victory Day (30th April) (1 day), International Labor Day (1 day) and National Day (2 days). Foreigners working in Vietnam are entitled to an additional day off for traditional New Year's Day and their country's National Day.
