On the morning of January 29, the 14th People's Council of Quang Ninh province, term 2021 - 2026, held the 17th session to carry out the election process for the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, 100% of the delegates of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council present unanimously elected Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Uong Bi City, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026.

Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong was born in 1975, hometown Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province, joined the Party in 2005, professional qualifications: Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, Advanced Political Theory.
Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong held the following positions: Deputy Chief of Office of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Director of the Department of Justice of Quang Ninh province, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Uong Bi city.
Also at the 17th session, the People's Council of Quang Ninh province carried out the procedure to dismiss the Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XIV, 2021 - 2026, due to being transferred and appointed to the position of Provincial Inspector, and to dismiss and elect a number of members of the Provincial People's Committee, term XIV, 2021 - 2026, according to the provisions of law .
