After 3 hours, more than 66 opinions from children were sent to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. Huynh Ngoc Huong Giang (Quang Trung Secondary School, Tan Binh District) said that recently, Ho Chi Minh City leaders have paid attention toeducational innovation, applying digital transformation to teaching and learning methods.
Currently, students are learning new textbooks and new curriculums, but the facilities and some teachers have not been upgraded to keep up with the changes in the education sector. I hope that the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City will pay attention to developing facilities for schools, adding laboratories, and researching more creative and attractive teaching methods to suit the development of children.
Hoang Ngoc Minh Uyen (Lam Son Secondary School, District 6) said she was very happy that recently Ho Chi Minh City has paid attention to building and renovating many museums and relic sites to honor the historical values of the nation, creating an environment for students to learn and study history and culture. Ho Chi Minh City has also built Ho Chi Minh cultural spaces in many places, organizing many impressive cultural activities such as the bread festival...
However, Hoang Ngoc Minh Uyen pointed out that the current situation of exploiting museum space is not effective, many students go to museums mainly to take photos to post on social networks. Meanwhile, teaching and learning History at school is not creative enough, not creating interest for students. Therefore, she believes that it is necessary to innovate History education, effectively organize history lessons at museums, create short historical films to be shown in classrooms, and increase historical performances and musicals.
At the program, children also expressed their concerns about environmental protection, traffic jams, flooding, health care, innovation among teenagers, skill training and talent development...

After listening to the children's opinions, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen expressed his pride in the intelligent and responsible statements that the children sent to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. Secretary Nguyen Van Nen said that despite their young age, the children's thoughts are not small, and their statements are concerned about society and the community, and they want to build Ho Chi Minh City to be more civilized, modern, and humane.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee asked delegates to listen to and absorb children's opinions in order to have appropriate measures to care for and develop children.
“We must listen to children with all our hearts and turn it into the most responsible actions,” said the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also said that when social networks develop rapidly, children will face many complex challenges. It will be difficult for them to distinguish and evaluate information when accessing it through social networks. Comrade Nguyen Van Nen suggested that relevant levels and sectors must take action early to prevent bad and toxic information and correct deviant behaviors in cyberspace.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is asking for special policies and mechanisms for development. Secretary Nguyen Van Nen suggested that when the National Assembly passes a resolution to replace Resolution 54, policies for children's development must be promptly issued.
Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen shared that Uncle Ho once advised: “Raising children is like planting young trees. If you plant young trees well, they will grow well in the future. If you teach children well, they will become good people in the future.”
Comrade Nguyen Van Nen called on parents to continue to accompany schools, unions, teams, and associations to create the best conditions for children to study, play, and practice. Parents need to create a warm, loving family environment for their children.
Adults should respect children's interests, give them the right to make decisions, praise and encourage them when they do well, and thank them when they help. They should also enhance children's self-esteem and sense of responsibility.
