According to initial investigation results, in 2022, Ta used a Facebook account named "Hoang Hai Yen" to join the group "Amulet Association" and posted an article introducing himself as having the ability to solve problems spiritually.
In December 2022, Ms. M. (born in 1989, residing in Dak Lak province) had a conflict with her husband, so she joined the above-mentioned "Magic Association" group, then made friends and texted Ta's Zalo account to ask for help to mend family relationships through spirituality.

Taking advantage of the victim's trust, Ta asked Ms. M. to make a video call via Zalo while naked so that Ta could "perform magic". After Ms. M. agreed and followed the instructions, Ta secretly recorded a sensitive video and used these images to threaten and blackmail her.
In August 2024, Ta began sending sensitive videos to Ms. M. and demanding money or else he would spread them on social media. From October 2024 to July 2025, Ms. M. was extorted more than 4 million VND by Ta.
After receiving the victim's report, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Cyber Security Department - Dak Lak Provincial Police to verify, trace and send a working group to Lao Cai to arrest Ta and extradite him to Dak Lak for handling according to the law.
