In his speech at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of the Capital Youth Newspaper Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that exactly 100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc founded the Thanh Nien newspaper, giving birth to the country's revolutionary press. Over the past 100 years, our Party has built and developed a Vietnamese revolutionary press - a press that serves the people, serves the nation, serves the Fatherland.

In the flow of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, over the past 40 years, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, as the mouthpiece of the capital's youth and union members and youths nationwide, has carried a special political mission: To be the core in propaganda work, orienting ideology, spreading positive values and arousing the desire to contribute in the young generation.
According to journalist Nguyen Manh Hung, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper always affirms its role and mission as a means of information and propaganda for the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
“The newspaper is not only an “extended arm” of the Hanoi Youth Union on the media front, but also an important forum for building personality, political courage, civic awareness and life ideals for union members and young people in the new era. The newspaper has gradually innovated its organizational model, improved content quality, improved its presentation form, expanded its multimedia communication platform and developed the press economy in the context of financial autonomy,” emphasized journalist Nguyen Manh Hung.

With the spirit of initiative, creativity, innovation and integration, the collective leadership, reporters, editors and workers have made Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper a prestigious cultural press agency in the Central and Hanoi press system; a trusted voice of the youth of the capital and the whole country in the digital transformation period.
With outstanding achievements in training and raising awareness of young people, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Capital, Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President.

Speaking at the congratulatory ceremony for the Capital Youth Newspaper, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi Student Association Nguyen Tien Hung affirmed that since the first issue was launched in 1985, the Capital Youth Newspaper has continuously grown, becoming a solid bridge between the youth and the Youth Union; a reliable forum to spread the aspirations, knowledge, and ideals of a beautiful life of the young generation. Each page of the newspaper is a humane bridge, lighting up youth movements, reflecting the real life, thoughts, feelings and actions of Hanoi youth.
“Over the past 40 years, the newspaper has always closely followed reality, vividly reflecting the activities of the Youth Union - Association - Team and the programs initiated by the City Youth Union. The special columns, emotional and directional articles of Tuoi Tre Thu Do are proof of the pioneering role of the press in educating today's young generation,” the Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union emphasized.

According to comrade Nguyen Tien Hung, in the context of the entire political system streamlining its apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU, many agencies and units are being rearranged to suit the new situation. Despite changes in structure and position, for the Hanoi Youth Union, the Capital Youth will always be a beloved voice, an inspirational "torch", a trusted companion on all development paths of the Youth Union and the Capital's youth.
On this occasion, journalist Nguyen Manh Hung, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievements in training and raising awareness of young people, contributing to the economic and social development of the Capital in the period of 2020 - 2024.
