Recognizing and praising the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Son La province in 2023, General To Lam noted that the locality should continue to promote the tradition of great solidarity, the spirit of "Mutual love" and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation; effectively implement the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction, respond to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind". The police force of the whole province continues to effectively carry out the peak campaign to attack and suppress crimes to ensure security and order for the 2024 Giap Thin New Year, helping people enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet safely. In particular, the locality is interested in coordinating leadership and direction to build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Son La Provincial Police force, meeting the requirements of the task of ensuring security and order in the province.

On this occasion, the Minister of Public Security , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Son La Provincial Party Committee presented over 400 Tet gifts to meritorious people, policy families, poor households, workers in difficult circumstances in Phu Yen district and officers, soldiers, workers, and contract workers of Yen Ha Prison (Ministry of Public Security), stationed in Phu Yen district. The Minister of Public Security presented an ambulance to the Phu Yen District Medical Center.
