(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on the morning of June 7, the City Journalists Association organized a meeting to honor outstanding collectives and individuals and a discussion "Hai Phong Press contributes to the Vietnamese revolutionary press for 100 years accompanying the glorious cause of the Party and the country".

Attending the event were representatives of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, press agencies, and a large number of reporters and members of the City Journalists Association.

In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the anniversary, generations of leaders of the Hai Phong Journalists Association of all periods and members together reviewed the glorious tradition of 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the important contributions of generations of journalists of the city of all periods to the common press achievements of the whole country.

Inheriting the traditions of previous generations and keeping up with the trends and innovations of revolutionary journalism in the current period, Hai Phong journalists strive to gain experience, supplement knowledge and skills to produce more vivid and attractive journalistic works, closely following the breath of life, meeting the needs of readers, listeners, viewers and together building the "common home" of the Hai Phong Journalists Association.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the City Journalists Association Nguyen Anh Tu affirmed: continuing the journey of generations of association leaders and members, journalists, all members of the Hai Phong Journalists Association strive to compete, write good articles, make beautiful newspapers, build quality radio and television reports that have a widespread impact on social life and the community, contributing to promoting the image of the city on the path of development in the spirit of Resolution 45 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045. At the same time, contributing to propaganda to successfully organize party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, completing the task of socio-economic development, building an increasingly strong Party and government.

At the Meeting, Hai Phong Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 25 outstanding individuals with outstanding achievements in journalism and association activities, contributing to the City Journalists Association completing its assigned tasks.

In the Discussion section, the presentations highlighted the role of Hai Phong press in the general flow of Vietnam's revolutionary press, from the period of fighting for national independence to the period of renovation and integration.
