The National Assembly Chairman believes that with the fine tradition and rich accumulated experience, the team of Vietnamese journalists will fulfill their noble mission, always maintaining "a bright mind, a pure heart, and a sharp pen" as beloved President Ho Chi Minh once advised.

In order to create a legal corridor for press activities in the new period, the draft Press Law (amended) is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for comments at the 10th Session (October 2025).

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said the draft Law focuses on institutionalizing the Party's guidelines and policies on press work; overcoming limitations and shortcomings in current legal regulations on press; adjusting and managing press activities appropriately in the context of the strong and rapid development of science, technology, and modern communications, creating a legal corridor for press activities to develop in the new era.
The draft also proposes a model of a "multimedia key press-communication complex" with the goal of building key press agencies capable of producing content on multiple platforms and in multiple modalities, effectively performing the role of information orientation and serving public interests.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh said that in order for the model of a key, multimedia press agency to come into practice, there needs to be a comprehensive, synchronous strategy from the legal framework to the organizational model, investment in technology and human resource development.
