Solar panels are installed on the buildings of Alma Resort.

Accordingly, Alma Resort is about to complete the installation of 4,476 solar panels with a total area of 23,290m2 for the entire roofing system of 196 villas, 2 V-shaped buildings with 384 apartments, the lobby and the utility building. With a maximum capacity of 2,462 kW, the solar energy system is expected to meet 25% to 30% of the resort's electricity needs, depending on room occupancy during low and high seasons. It is estimated that this solar energy system will help Alma save up to 178 billion VND in electricity costs and reduce up to 65,000 tons of carbon emissions over about 25 years.

The solar project is one of the resort’s many environmental initiatives. Alma Resort has built an on-site herb garden, nursery and chicken farm to provide eggs and fresh produce for the resort’s restaurants. In addition to this project, Alma Resort has implemented other measures to promote green tourism such as a water treatment plant, a 360m2 electric vehicle charging and maintenance station, a waste treatment area and a move to paperless solutions with the Alma App. The 325m2 water treatment plant uses a reverse osmosis system to provide 70,000 liters of drinking water and ice per week to all the resort’s kitchens. The waste treatment area processes approximately 250kg of waste (including biodegradable and recyclable waste) per day.
