De Gea leaves Old Trafford after more than a decade of dedication to the Red Devils, winning the Premier League Golden Glove award in his final season at MU.

Initially, the Manchester team planned to renew De Gea's contract and asked him to take a significant pay cut. However, coach Ten Hag suddenly changed his mind.

De Gea was forced to leave due to the expiration of his contract, while MU immediately signed two new goalkeepers, Andre Onana (47 million pounds) and Altay Bayindir (4.2 million pounds).

As a free agent, De Gea has been linked with a number of clubs, including Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr and Real Betis.

However, in the latest move, Al-Shabab is trying to convince him to join the club, following the deals to invite Ivan Rakitic and Miguel Almiron.

After half a season without playing, De Gea is also eager to return to the field. The small problem on the negotiating table is that both sides need to agree on a suitable salary.

In addition to De Gea, Al-Shabab is also negotiating for Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech - currently on loan at Galatasaray.

The Saudi Arabian side are 11th in the Saudi Pro League table, having won just one of their last seven games before the winter break.
