6 teams fight for a place in the Women's Champions League

On the afternoon of August 8, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation, the ceremony to announce the main sponsor and draw lots for the schedule of the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2025 took place.

The 2025 National Women's Football Championship is about to start.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Football Federation, VPF Company, representatives of sponsors and several clubs. General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, Nguyen Van Phu emphasized that the tournament is increasingly approaching professionalism, not only bringing exciting matches but also being an important source of selection for the national women's teams.

The latest achievement is a ticket to the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals in Australia and the 37th position in the world and 6th position in Asia on the FIFA rankings of the Vietnamese women's team.

2025 marks the 14th consecutive year that Thai Son Bac has played the role of main sponsor. General Director Tran Anh Minh affirmed that this is the pride of the enterprise when contributing to building the brand for the highest level of Vietnamese women's football, and at the same time committed to sustainable companionship to create a long-term development environment for the players.

This year's tournament brings together 6 teams: Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam , Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City II, Vietnam Coal and Minerals and Thai Nguyen T&T. According to the draw results, the opening match on September 4 will see Thai Nguyen T&T meet KSVN Coal, Ho Chi Minh City II play Ho Chi Minh City I and Hanoi face Phong Phu Ha Nam.

The teams will compete in a round-robin format (home and away) in the host city, with points awarded from first to sixth. The winning team will represent Vietnam in the 2026/27 AFC Champions League for Women. The first leg will take place from September 4 to 21, and the second leg from September 26 to October 13 in Hanoi. All matches will be broadcast live on VTVCab and the VFF Channel Youtube channel.
