488 candidates achieved perfect scores in Foreign Language exam for 10th graders in Ho Chi Minh City

Specifically, in the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade entrance exam, more than 76,000 candidates took the Foreign Language exam. Of these, 488 candidates scored 10 points, less than 1/3 of last year (more than 1,700).

There were 1,028 candidates who scored 9.75; 1,494 candidates who scored 9.5; 1,826 candidates who scored 9.25 and 2,101 candidates who scored 9.

This exam also recorded 24,081 candidates with scores below average. Of which, only 1 candidate scored 0.25; 7 candidates scored 0.5; 19 candidates scored 0.75 and 48 candidates scored 1.

The 10th grade public school entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 6-7.

This year, the whole city has more than 88,000 9th graders graduating from junior high school, of which 76,435 students registered for the 10th grade entrance exam, 12,531 students did not participate (including 949 students admitted directly).

The total enrollment target for 115 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City is 70,070.

The general admission score is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations, and not have a failing score.

Candidates' wishes are considered in order. Based on the quota of each school, the Department considers from top to bottom until the number is sufficient. The admission principle is that the admission score of the next wish must not be lower than the previous wish.

It is expected that the general 10th grade benchmark scores will be announced on June 26.
