On the evening of June 8, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Stadium, Vietnam Television in coordination with the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the Final Round of the Vietnam Robot Creation Contest - Robocon 2025 with the theme "Basketball Warrior."
In his opening speech, Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Robot Creation Contest 2025, said that the final round had the participation of 32 teams from universities, academies, and technical colleges across the country. The teams were all technology “warriors” who had passed the dramatic preliminary round.
The Vietnam Robotics Competition 2025 takes place in the context that the whole country is implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
To realize that vision, developing and utilizing high-quality human resources, especially in key areas such as robotics, automation and artificial intelligence, is a strategic task and a key factor.
The Robocon competition is a practical environment where students gradually master core technologies, thereby contributing to building superior human resources, ready to create the future.
The 2025 theme "Basketball Warriors" brings a competition rule that requires teams to not only design robots that can move quickly and accurately, but also program smart counter-attack strategies and flexible coordination like real sports matches.
This is the first time the "real-time competition" element has been pushed to a new level, promising to bring dramatic and surprising score chases.
The organizers hope that, when coming out of the Robocon playground, students and trainees will become excellent teams of engineers, making great contributions to the development of science and technology in the country in this era of advancement.
The final round will find a new champion team of the 2025 Robocon season to represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon competition in Mongolia this coming August.
Immediately after the opening ceremony were the exciting and dramatic matches in Group A and Group B of the final round.
The final round will take place until June 13./.
