According to Mr. Hai, before 2024, when he was still healthy, his wife and he worked hard to make ends meet. But then he suddenly fell ill and could no longer work in the rubber plantations or fields, leaving the burden of the family on his wife's shoulders.

While feeling depressed and hopeless, he was visited by officers and soldiers of the Ia Dal Border Guard Station, encouraged and given 4 piglets, supported in building a pen, instructed on care, and raised capital. "Since having piglets supported by the Border Guard, I have been raising them at home, both having the joy of working and having extra income for my family," Mr. Hai said excitedly.

In 2023, Mr. Ha Van Binh, residing in Ia Dal village (Ia Dal commune), was given a breeding cow by Ia Dal Border Guard Station, as well as support in building a barn and guidance on care techniques. Currently, Mr. Binh's family has 3 cows and his family has escaped poverty, life has gradually stabilized and become more prosperous.

When the officers of the Ia Dal Border Guard Station visited, Mr. Binh shared his joy and plans to breed cows according to the sustainable commodity farming model. Mr. Binh expressed his admiration and gratitude to the officers and soldiers of the Ia Dal Border Guard Station: "In the Ia Dal border area, the Border Guard and the ethnic people are blood brothers, sharing joys and sorrows together, helping each other through hunger and poverty."

Ia Dal Border Guard Station is in charge of 7 villages in two border communes of Ia Dal and Ia Dom (Quang Ngai province) with 1,028 households (3,383 people), mainly ethnic minorities Thai, Muong, Tay. To help people develop socio -economy, improve their lives, feel secure and build a prosperous border area, officers and soldiers of Ia Dal Border Guard Station have persistently implemented "3 sticking, 4 together" (sticking to the unit; sticking to the area; sticking to policies and guidelines; eating, living, working, and speaking the local language together), implementing many creative and effective models and methods.

In addition to Hai and Binh's families, Ia Dal Border Guard Station also helps many households escape poverty sustainably through models of renovating mixed gardens, planting high-value fruit trees, growing vegetables; reclaiming land, growing rice; supporting harvest seasons; adopting 2 children as "adopted children of the border guard station"; supporting and taking care of 1 mother of a martyr, 1 disabled child with a total amount of 6 million VND/month and sponsoring 16 other students with difficult circumstances.

Ia Dal Border Guard Station is also a typical unit in helping the locality build new rural areas. From 2024 to now, Ia Dal Border Guard Station has mobilized 620 officers and soldiers to help people repair 12 houses; 5 temporary bridges washed away by water; build 12.2km of concrete road; clear and dredge 18km of drainage canals...

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Dai, Political Commissar of Ia Dal Border Guard Station, said that from the policy of "3 sticking, 4 together", the Station regularly grasps the local situation, is close to and understands the customs, habits and life of the people; effectively implements models and programs for socio-economic development, eliminates backward customs, and builds trust and deep attachment between the Border Guard and the people.
