24,000 times using VNeID for "touchless" check-in at the airport

(QNgTV) - The Aviation Service feature on VNeID allows pre-check-in, then quick facial authentication at the airport, with more than 24,000 trials after three months.

In a notice on July 25, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06) - Ministry of Public Security said it has coordinated with local police, airlines, and major airports across the country to guide people to use the VNeID electronic identification application to complete the entire paperless boarding procedure.

The trial will take place from April 17 at 7 airports, including Noi Bai International Airport, T3 - Tan Son Nhat, and airports in Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh, Phu Bai, Cat Bi, with two airlines Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air.

"Airline service" is one of the new features added to VNeID, helping to identify and authenticate users, then link with airline applications to buy tickets and check-in online.

The condition is that you need an electronic identification account from level two.
