12 billion VND invested in lighting system on Nguyen Nghiem street, Hong Linh town

The lighting system on Nguyen Nghiem Street in Hong Linh Town ( Ha Tinh ) is expected to be completed and put into use on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.

Hong Linh Town People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment policy for the lighting system project on Nguyen Nghiem Street.

Accordingly, the construction investment project has a total length of about 3km, a total investment of 12 billion VND, using budget capital from medium-term public investment sources for the period 2021 - 2025 and the investor mobilizes other legal capital sources. The Hong Linh Town Construction Investment Project Management Board is the investor for implementation in the period 2023 - 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thien - Director of the Project Management Board said: "In response to the urgent requirements of the project, the People's Committee of Hong Linh town has directed the board and related units to focus on completing the documents to organize bidding, implement the project construction, strive to complete and put into use on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024".

Nguyen Nghiem Street does not have a lighting system, which poses a risk of traffic accidents.

Previously, on August 7, 2023, Ha Tinh Newspaper published an article "Without lighting, the central road of Hong Linh town has a potential risk of traffic accidents" reflecting that Nguyen Nghiem Street (Hong Linh Town) was put into operation in 2019 but still does not have a lighting system, posing a high risk of traffic accidents at night on this route.

After the reflection of Ha Tinh Newspaper, Hong Linh Town People's Committee directed relevant agencies and units to study and propose to submit for approval the investment policy decision for the lighting system project on Nguyen Nghiem Street.

The project aims to renovate and complete urban infrastructure according to approved planning; serve travel needs, ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles; promote socio-economic development, contribute to building, consolidating and completing the criteria of a type III urban area of the town.
