Yen Bai welcomes over 9 million tourists in the period 2021 - 2025

Thanks to the development of unique and attractive tourism products in tourist areas, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Yen Bai province welcomed over 9 million tourists, of which nearly 800 thousand were international visitors; tourism revenue reached 7,189 billion VND, with an average revenue growth over the years of 32.7%.

In recent times, Yen Bai province has built and developed typical tourism products in tourist areas, creating new highlights for Yen Bai tourism. Focusing on synchronous and creative direction in building and positioning the tourism brand "Yen Bai - Where the colors of the Northwest converge", aiming to develop a green tourism ecosystem according to the value chain.

Main products include: eco-tourism, resort, health care; experiential and discovery tourism; learning about ethnic culture and festivals; visiting historical and cultural relics; sports and entertainment tourism...

In particular, the Thac Ba Lake tourism area and along the Chay River focus on building a system of tourism products rich in identity, attractiveness and quality; exploiting the value of typical cultural features and national intangible cultural heritage of Khap Coi Art, cultural tourism products, unique festival tourism in Luc Yen and Yen Binh districts. Forming and developing tourism products and services associated with agriculture , especially festival products. The agricultural ecosystem on the lake island is increasingly diverse with tours associated with harvesting milk grapes, watermelons, melons, fishing experiences, and shrimp traps to form valuable agricultural tourism products.

Yen Bai city and its vicinity focus on developing entertainment services, the accommodation system is invested in, basically meeting the needs of tourists; building a homestay chain utilizing rental houses to serve international guests in Yen Bai city.

The Western tourism region develops eco-cultural tourism products associated with the preservation and promotion of natural heritage values ​​and traditional culture and history of local communities, which are of particular interest. From 2021 to present, the region has formed branded and unique tourism products, some tourist destinations in the region have become internationally famous destinations, contributing to positioning the Yen Bai tourism brand. Festival tourism and cultural tourism products, associated with the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups, have become annual events, attracting tourists.

Adventure tourism in Yen Bai has been formed, developed rapidly and positioned its own brand. Many new products such as: eco-tourism, hot springs, cultural experiences of the Thai, Mong, Muong ethnic groups... have been put into operation, attracting a large number of tourists. High-quality resorts are increasingly developing; seasonal flower growing spots at Khau Pha Pass, La Pan Tan, De Xu Phinh, Che Cu Nha... are planned to attract tourists.

The Bac Tran Yen - Van Yen tourist area with spiritual tourism products associated with cultural festivals and traditional festivals is increasingly affirming its brand and attracting tourists; many potential products in the Van Yen area have initially formed and shown signs of strong development in the coming time. Tourism products are increasingly diverse and professional, notably experiential tourism destinations, exploring nature; resort tourism, health care from herbs reaching the international market. Tran Yen district has initially succeeded with historical tourism products associated with education and golf tourism.
