According to a quick report from the Commune's Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue Command, heavy rains have caused landslides and complete blockages on many key roads in the area. DT.127 from Km16+00 to Km23+00 had landslides on the positive slope at about 15 locations, causing serious traffic congestion. The route from Song Da to Nam Manh had more than 28m of drainage ditches buried and a negative slope collapsed deep into the road surface, with estimated damage of about 350 million VND. In addition, the route from Lai Chau Hydropower Bridge to Huoi Chat village intersection and the routes to Huoi Pet and Nam Ty villages were also buried by mud, causing local traffic congestion.
Highway 127 has many landslides and mud covering the road surface.
Regarding housing, in Nam Ty village, 3 households had their houses affected by landslides, of which 2 households had already moved their belongings, 1 household had not yet moved. In Nam Manh village, the houses of 2 households were affected by groundwater and soil and rocks flowing into their houses; the ground sank deeply, causing panic and anxiety among the people. Some areas have had geological cracks reappear since 2022, with a high risk of subsidence if the rain continues.

Natural disasters also caused severe damage to agricultural production: more than 6,000m² of rice were buried; 8 buffaloes, cows and many areas of fish ponds were washed away... The total damage is estimated at hundreds of millions of dong.
Many rice fields of Nam Ty villagers were buried in mud.
Immediately after the disaster, the Commune People's Committee directed forces to urgently support people in evacuating their belongings and temporarily repairing landslides. Road management units temporarily opened the road on DT.127 (at 12:30 on July 25).
The road from the center of Nam Hang commune to Nam Manh village was buried by soil and rocks.
Currently, Nam Hang commune continues to review, count damages and closely monitor weather developments, in order to proactively respond to possible natural disasters.
