Me Linh flower growing area is bustling during Tet season

(Dan Tri) - The flower growing area of Me Linh is bustling for the 2024 Lunar New Year season. In the vast fields of hundreds of blooming flowers, growers and buyers are busy preparing shipments to all parts of the country.

Me Linh District ( Hanoi ) currently has many flower and ornamental plant growing villages recognized by the city as flower growing villages such as: Lieu Tri, Ha Loi village, Dai Bai... Chrysanthemums are sold at the garden for about 3,000 VND/flower. Compared to roses, the price of chrysanthemums is quite erratic.

On the days before Tet, trucks of wholesalers flock to the garden, they go to the garden to choose flowers or the garden owner has taken pictures and sent them in advance. The purchase price of orange and red egg-roses is 25,000 - 40,000 VND/tree.

In order to promote tourism and craft villages, in 2022, for the first time, the flower festival with the theme of Me Linh with colorful flowers was held at the outskirts of the Hai Ba Trung National Special Monument, attracting the attention of many people and tourists.

Rose bushes about 1.3m high are purchased at the garden for 45,000 VND/bush. The current price is much lower than last year (70,000 VND/bush).

National Highway 23 runs through Me Linh flower market and is a transit route for flower carts traveling all over the country.
