Black wastewater flowing into Mui Ne beach: Lam Dong urgently directs inspection and handling

On the afternoon of August 12, Mr. Phan Sy Thong, Deputy Chief of Office of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, under the order of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, signed an urgent document requesting to inspect and verify the information about the black, foul-smelling wastewater flowing into Mui Ne beach as reported by SGGP Newspaper.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward to urgently direct relevant departments, offices and units to inspect, clarify and strictly handle violations (if any). At the same time, strengthen environmental management in the area. The implementation results must be reported to the Provincial People's Committee before August 15, 2025.

Black, foul-smelling wastewater flows into Mui Ne beach

Previously, on August 11, SGGP Newspaper reported that at Mui Ne beach (opposite Bay sand hill), a stream of wastewater appeared running into the sea, causing serious pollution. Some residents said that the source of the wastewater came from a resort, asking the authorities to promptly inspect and fix the problem.

The sight of black wastewater flowing into Mui Ne beach has angered many locals and tourists.

Upon receiving the information, Mui Ne Ward People's Committee said it would establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to verify and handle the matter according to regulations.
