Before surgery, baby K. suffered from many seizures every day, seriously affecting his physical and intellectual development. Diagnostic methods such as EEG, MRI, PET scan could not clearly identify the epileptic focus. After interdisciplinary consultation, the doctors decided to implant an intracranial electrode to record SEEG using the Autoguide robot.

The Autoguide Robot acts as an intelligent navigation system, helping to insert electrodes into the brain with high precision, minimizing damage and invasion. The incision is only a few millimeters, helping to reduce pain, reduce the risk of complications and shorten surgery time.

After more than a month, baby K. recovered well, with only two mild seizures recorded while sleeping, marking an important step forward in epilepsy treatment in Vietnam using high technology.
