Explaining why the number of applications to military schools has increased this year, Colonel Do Thanh Tam, secretary of the military recruitment board of the Ministry of National Defense , said that recently, the agencies of the Ministry of National Defense have stepped up career guidance propaganda work.

"In addition to promoting career guidance on mass media, we also go directly to high schools. For the district-level military recruitment committee, 100% must go to all high schools in the area to promote and guide careers.

Military schools assigned enrollment targets must organize propaganda and career guidance in 5 or more provinces and cities. Each location must visit at least 5-7 schools," Colonel Tam informed.

In addition, according to Colonel Tam, the military recruitment board has also sent clips and documents advising on military recruitment to all high schools across the country to inform students.

In 2025, military schools will continue to recruit students using 7 groups, including A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C00 (literature, history, geography), D01 (math, literature, English), D02 (math, literature, Russian), D04 (math, literature, Chinese).

What are the benefits of studying at military school?

Candidates admitted to officer training are provided with food, accommodation, and clothing by the army; they do not have to pay money or tuition.

Every month, all students are given a living allowance (ranging from 1,186,000 - 2,063,000 VND); free use of school facilities for studying, training, and scientific research; and free provision of equipment and supplies for studying.

Relatives of students (biological parents, legal adoptive parents, wife, children...) who do not have health insurance will be purchased by the military immediately upon entering the school; in case the student's family has sudden difficulties, the military will consider providing subsidies; in case the student has biological or adopted children, they will enjoy tuition exemption and reduction policies according to regulations.

After each school year, students with good or excellent academic results and good training will receive rewards according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.

University graduates are awarded the rank of second lieutenant; those with good academic and training achievements are considered for military ranks from lieutenant to captain depending on the training subject.

College graduates are awarded the professional military rank of second lieutenant; those with good academic and training achievements are considered for the professional military rank of first lieutenant.

Graduates are assigned to units to take up positions and receive salaries according to regulations.

Excellent and good graduates are given priority in consideration when assigned to units.

According to regulations, all students must strictly comply with the assignment of work after graduation. The Ministry of National Defense assigns work based on the training objectives and needs of each unit.
