This festival is not only an opportunity to honor those values, but also a testament to the strong development of the traditional martial arts movement in Ho Chi Minh City - a place where the spirit of chivalry, resilience and deep love for traditional culture converge. Throughout its cultural roots, martial arts have accompanied the history of the struggle to defend and build the country. Despite its ups and downs, traditional martial arts have always existed and developed, creating traditional standards, preserving and creating more and more perfect innovations, which is the pride of many generations of Vietnamese.
According to Ms. Ha Thi Yen Oanh - President of the Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Martial Arts Federation, Vietnamese traditional martial arts is not only a sport , but also an intangible cultural heritage, crystallizing the martial spirit, compassion and morality of the Vietnamese people. Each martial art form and move is a vivid historical story, a cultural identity passed down through many generations.
