From the fallen mahogany tree to the work "Revival" in the heart of Hanoi

On September 7, 2024, Typhoon Yagi swept through Hanoi, knocking down a series of trees, including a 70-year-old rosewood tree in Co Tan Flower Garden (Hoan Kiem). It seemed like its life cycle had ended, but artist Tia-Thuy Nguyen drew a new shape for the tree through the artwork "Resurrection".

Following the original form of the tree, the work carries the unique metallic color of more than 6 tons of metal.

Thousands of hours of hard work have turned broken tree branches into graceful steel lines, decorated with thousands of shiny steel leaves.

Now, "Resurrection" stands proudly where it once flourished, not only quietly shining but also radiating the beauty of resilience, a testament to life rising after the storm.
