According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam, banks such as Vietcombank, Sacombank, BIDV, and ACB have simultaneously sent notices requesting customers of organizations, businesses, and business households to update information to avoid service interruptions from the above time frame.

Vietcombank requires customers to complete updating their identification documents and biometric registration (such as facial authentication) to continue using electronic services such as VCB DigiBiz, VCB Cash Up, VCB iB@nking.
Sacombank recommends that the legal representative come to the transaction point to update identification documents and register biometrics via the Sacombank Pay application or at the counter.
BIDV warns that not only businesses but also business households will have their electronic transactions and card payments suspended if they have not updated their biometrics. BIDV allows updating via the SmartBanking application with a chip-embedded CCCD or VNeID, or directly at the transaction counter.
ACB also reminds corporate customers to complete biometric registration before July 1, 2025 and supplement payment account opening documents before January 1, 2026 to ensure compliance with regulations.
Affected customers need to promptly complete the information update to avoid transaction interruptions and contribute to improving account security as required by the management agency.
