The time of organization is on the afternoon of Thursday, September 18, at the ancient town of Dong Van, a famous tourist destination. The contest will have the following activities: contest on typical culinary dishes with local ingredients and unique processing styles. Contest on making traditional cakes with cakes bearing the identity of Dong Van commune. Contest on making breakfast and dinner dishes made from local ingredients.
Participating in the contest are restaurants, culinary establishments, hotels in Dong Van commune; villages, hamlets, schools of the commune and individuals who love and have the ability to prepare dishes.

The contest is a cultural space that helps culinary businesses, villages, hamlets, and people exchange and learn experiences in food preparation. At the same time, it encourages the preservation and promotion of traditional culinary cultural values of ethnic minorities; creates an experiential space for tourists, and promotes local tourism development. From this contest, Dong Van commune will research and compile the book "Dong Van Commune Cuisine Handbook" to serve tourism development.
