Conversion rules for equivalent admission scores of admission methods:
Pursuant to the current University Admissions Regulations and Official Dispatch No. 2457/BGDĐT-GDĐH dated May 19, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training, the University of Economics and Law implements the method of converting admission scores as follows:
- Do not convert each candidate's score to a common scale.
- Apply the percentile method to ensure that the admission scores between methods (high school graduation exam, capacity assessment, high school study score...) are equivalent according to percentile and the level of meeting the input requirements of each industry/major/training program.
Before admission: Based on the excellent and excellent academic results of students in the previous year's major/specialization, the school determines the adjustment coefficient for the percentile value range of the methods.
During the selection and virtual filtering process: Determining the admission score based on the equivalence principle (with adjustment coefficient applied) of the selection methods.
Based on the admission quota of each industry/major/enrollment program, adjust the admission scores of the methods many times (through common virtual filtering) until the enrollment scale is suitable for the target.
Announcement of benchmark scores: Benchmark scores will be announced according to the individual scores of each method, along with the conversion table of admission scores of methods and combinations according to the percentile method.
In 2025, University of Economics and Law will enroll students according to 3 admission methods:
- Method 1: Direct admission and priority direct admission
- Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam
