Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry posted a warning to all students.

This morning (December 22), Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry posted a warning to all students about the scam of impersonating lecturers to collect tuition fees in order to get a reduction or exemption.

According to this announcement, the school said it had just received feedback about some people pretending to be lecturers at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, asking students to transfer money to their personal accounts. The lecturers will pay the tuition fees on behalf of the students to help them get a discount.

Therefore, the school recommends that parents and students be vigilant in following the school's principles and guidelines. Specifically, absolutely do not transfer tuition fees to any personal bank account. Collection notices are only valid when posted on the school's official website and fanpage.

The school also recommends that if there is an unusual situation, students should immediately report it to the head lecturer or the Student Affairs and Support Department. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also recommends that students follow the school's official information channels; research and verify information as accurately and completely as possible to avoid being taken advantage of by bad guys.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also issued a warning about the forgery of school documents after receiving feedback about the invitation to an international student exchange meeting. The school affirmed that it did not issue the above-mentioned meeting program notice. Organizations and individuals taking advantage of the school's brand and image to conduct illegal content activities violate the law, without the written consent of the school. At the same time, it is recommended that organizations and individuals follow the school's official information channels to learn and verify information accurately and completely, avoiding being exploited by bad guys.

Not only Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, many other universities have recently posted warnings to students about the problem of fake and fraudulent requests for money transfers in the form of scholarships, requiring payment of fees for approval such as: University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University), FPT University. Most recently, the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) also made a similar announcement.
