BAC NINH - With its large scale, rich content and creative presentation, the Exhibition "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey" at the National Exhibition Center (Hanoi) has become a special political - cultural event, attracting a large number of people nationwide. Not only honoring the brilliant socio-economic achievements over 8 decades, the Exhibition also evokes historical memories, pride and strong aspirations of the entire Vietnamese people today.

Honoring history, converging the best

Taking place from August 28 to September 15, the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is one of the important events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2. On an area of ​​nearly 260 thousand square meters, gathering more than 230 booths of 34 provinces, cities, ministries, branches and many typical enterprises, the exhibition opens up a modern display space that still bears the mark of history. Speaking about this event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: The exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is a special highlight that not only honors the glorious historical journey but also spreads patriotism, national pride, aspirations to rise, affirming the potential and position of Vietnam on the path of innovation, integration and sustainable development. The exhibition is like a “living school”, with a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, bringing history closer and more accessible, so that today’s generation can better understand the origins, the great sacrifices and achievements of previous generations. From there, it adds motivation, inspiration, and nurtures the aspiration to bring the country steadily into a new era, an era of rising to wealth, civilization, prosperity and prosperity.

In response to the people's wishes, the Prime Minister directed to extend the Exhibition to September 15, instead of the original schedule of September 5, to create opportunities for many people everywhere to directly experience the event. Many comments said that the Exhibition was well organized, creating a positive social effect, highly appreciated by the people, contributing to spreading pride in the country's construction and development journey. In the first 10 days, the Exhibition welcomed nearly 7 million visitors, the peak was on September 1 with more than 1.2 million visitors - an unprecedented record. That strong attraction also spread on cyberspace when millions of photos, videos , and emotional streams became a "positive wave" that urged many families, veterans, and young people to come.

The Exhibition space is like a miniature Vietnam, recreating the revolutionary journey through each stage, the image of the country on the path of integration, outstanding achievements in politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, foreign affairs. The booths displaying regional culture, heritage of 54 ethnic groups, typical works... have created a connection between tradition and modernity. The attraction of the Exhibition is not only in its scale but also in its creative storytelling. Virtual reality technology, hologram, 3D mapping, 360° camera have taken viewers on a vivid historical and modern journey. Every day there are many activities: Folk art performances, hot air balloons, robots, fireworks, culinary introductions, seminars... turning the Exhibition into a "great festival of the People".

In that space, the unique imprints of units and localities contribute to the diversity. The highlight is the theme "95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way" of Nhan Dan Newspaper on an area of ​​over 10,000 m², the spiral model design reminiscent of Co Loa Citadel leads visitors through seven content zones and one experience zone, recreating the historical journey from the Party's founding, through the resistance wars to the renovation period. The Ministry of National Defense's exhibition area with hundreds of historical items, copies, and restorations of images of weapons and equipment; logistics and technical products such as military uniforms, special military rations, transport ships, military medical equipment... Along with that, many visitors are excited to "travel" across 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam through the exhibition spaces and cultural experiences at the Exhibition. From the photos and artifacts here, many veterans were moved when remembering the years of overcoming bombs and bullets, the sacrifices of their comrades, and the joy of the nation's victory and the brilliant achievements today.

The mark of the heritage region rising up

In the colorful picture of the Exhibition space, the exhibition booth of Bac Ninh province has affirmed its own mark with its elaborateness, modernity but still imbued with identity, becoming a meeting place attracting a large number of visitors. On an area of ​​345 m², the exhibition booth is divided into six sub-areas reflecting: History; achievements in politics - national defense, economy - science and technology, culture - society and the dynamic and creative people of Bac Ninh. The symbol of Cau River appears shimmering on a large LED screen, combined with a rotating sand table and a stylized dome from a conical hat, creating a Kinh Bac space that is both traditional and modern. The modern display method combines objects and digital technology to help visitors not only "watch" but also "live" in that space. Historical documents and images of key works are presented using 3D technology, multi-layered lighting, and vivid sound. Tourists were surprised to enjoy the violin performance of the song “Quan Ho girls” by farmers from Then village, Tan Dinh commune; were fascinated to listen to the sweet Quan Ho melodies of the Lien Anh and Lien Chi singers and were delighted to directly print Dong Ho folk paintings or woodblocks of Vinh Nghiem pagoda... to understand more deeply the value of the heritage.

Next, take a walk around famous craft villages or visit industrial parks and modern constructions using digital technology. Also here, Bac Ninh introduces many traditional products, cuisines and famous OCOP products with strong identities such as: Dinh Bang Phu The cake, Kho sweet soup, Thi Cau sweet potato cake, Van village wine, Lien Chung spring rolls, Tan My Lam sweet soup... Each dish not only impresses the taste buds but also tells the story of the hard-working and creative life of Kinh Bac people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh (Lai Chau) shared: "The exhibition area of ​​Bac Ninh province impressed me with its modern and traditional design. Especially the Quan Ho singing and folk art performances made me feel like I was living in the Kinh Bac land with strong identity".

It can be affirmed that Bac Ninh has succeeded in creating a comprehensive image: A land rich in cultural traditions, the origin of many valuable heritages, and at the same time a dynamic and pioneering locality in industrialization and modernization. Through this exhibition, the province wishes to introduce the image of Bac Ninh, which is both rich in tradition and dynamic and creative; not only with the lyrical Quan Ho heritage but also a destination for high-tech investors.

To keep the exhibition space lively and attractive, along with displaying artifacts, images and documents, in recent days, the Department has directed functional units to arrange folk art clubs in the province to perform here, attracting the attention of tourists. In particular, the province organizes free shuttle buses for people to visit the Exhibition, creating conditions for thousands of people to directly witness the country's achievements and the imprint of their homeland at a national event.
